When Angels Take Flight

There's more than we think surrounding us, day and night.

We don't really see them, hear them or feel them go by.

Sometimes we catch a glimpse of a smile so bright.

That could wrap the whole universe in a comforting light.

When angels take flight, into the sky.

I wonder if we'll meet again somewhere on the other side. Inside, part of me dies, when angels take flight.

They're here to help us change to be better, than we were before to open our eyes and see things, we'd otherwise ignore.

And when we've grown enough, to stand on our own two feet.

They're gone in a heartbeat to the next soul that's incomplete.
