Social media campaigns are the rocket fuel of your marketing efforts: a concentrated burst of energy that pays off in a major boost to your brand reputation, awareness or sales.

Looking for inspiration for your next social media campaign? I have gathered a selection of the best social media campaigns in my recent memory to show you how it’s done and rather important how I can do it for you:

A little back story

I have traversed this city and done a few great things. I have had nice gigs come and go. Referrals to write and edit books for renowned public speakers-Am talking about Kamau Kariuki, Esther Muchemi. KK's books will be out soon, be on the lookout.

I spent over a year as a TV journalist. Now, I work with reporters almost every day. Years ago, when I applied to communications jobs, I was asked about my transferable skills. “After all, there’s no teleprompter here,” they’d chuckle to themselves…

What they were really telling me is they had zero understanding of what a journalist does. With many reporters, producers and media folks transitioning to new careers…

I finally found a niche I love, I miss my suits; I miss those walks I had many years back as a real estate agent at Eden Heights Realty. Actually, it was here that I got my very first job. When I went to the interview I was hired as the second Customer Service Representative. They organization had only one post but my presentation in a field I knew little about was so juicy, the HR and Business Development Manager couldn't fathom leaving me out.

"I feel comfortable. I truly feel like I fit in and I am being who I am at work. I can dress the way I’m comfortable dressing. I’m surrounded by people with similar interests, and I can progress professionally without the red tape. I feel like I’m finally where I belong…When you love what you do it isn’t work any more—it’s your passion".

II. The Open Institute:

The Open Institute is a civil society organization that sits in Nairobi, Kenya. In the age of the fourth industrial revolution (Technology), data is fast becoming a commodity.

In line with its general umbrella mandate which is to push the government to be more responsive to the plights of their vocal citizens, the organization recently launched a data protection focused project that is geared toward pushing the agenda and the fact that having protected data is a right of each and every citizen. Communication is an important part of this campaign because it is how the message is delivered to its target audiences.

I was part of the team tasked with structuring this strategy and part of the work done is as follows:
